There was a Beck song in my head that planted all this imagery about being out in the desert at night and the effect on all the senses that really spoke to me. Even though I, like most Australians, have lived my whole life in the city, there is still something about the desert that is very sensual. We all have this strange affinity to it. The image of a luxury car speeding through the desert at night and what that suggests, or represents, really appeals to me.
